Polypropylene is odourless and hypoallergenic, it is physiologically inert

  • It has no taste and is harmless for skin and mucosa.
  • No effects from its incineration harming health or the environment are known.
  • Polypropylene foils generally do not contain any pigments or other ingredients on the basis of heavy metals or cadmium and are without softeners and acids. Despite their thinness, their structure ensures high firmness against tear and thanks to this it is possible to reduce the amount of waste.

The manufacturing of polypropylene is low-burden compared to many other materials. Polypropylene is neutral in the storage environment, releases no harmful substances and can be burnt without any problems in waste incineration plants. It is ideal for heat recycling of energy (heating value 42 MJ/kg -> Wood 19-20 MJ/kg) or material recycling as well.
